Impact of news in Daily Industry
Staff Correspondent: After a report published in Daily Industry on the illegal gas connection in city eateries including a big restaurant named -A Rahman Restaurant yesterday; three mobile teams of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company conducted a joint operation and disconnected the illegal gas link from the restaurant at Islampur Road in the capital.
According to the sources, on direction of Managing Director of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Engineer Ali Ekbal Nurullah, the mobile teams led by Engineer Sujat Ali, Deputy General Manager of Vigilance Unit of Titas Gas’s head office reached to the spot at morning and disconnected the gas line, which was taken illegally by the restaurant owner.
The restaurant owner Shah Alam had been using gas through 14 heavy sized of burners for long in which huge quantity of gas was wasted. Similarly, the government was deprived of big sum of revenue each month. Legal action would be taken against the restaurant owner, said Managing Director of Titas Engineer Ali Ekbal Nurullah.
So far no case has been lodged with the police but the team has hinted Daily Industry that they are preparing for lodging a police case.
