Medical admission test question papers leakage
Staff Correspondent: The authorities are going to take action against the students, who were admitted with the help of the medical admission test questions paper leaked from the press under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council said that the students will be expelled if the evidence is found. The trial is likely to conduct by forming a task force.
Recently, three people were arrested for leaking question papers from the press of the DGHS. The Criminal Investigation Department – CID of police has got a list of 78 students who were initially admitted to the medical and dental colleges associated with the trio.
Professor Dr Khan Abul Kalam Azad, principal of Dhaka Medical College, said those who leaked question papers and were admitted with the benefit of it would be identified and punished under the conventional law. The Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) has said that these students will have to face trial under the conventional law along with the cancellation of their studentship. Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council President Prof Dr Mohammad Sahidullah said BMDC would take action if it was proved. BMDC has the right to revoke the studentships of those who will be found accused. Professor AKM Ahsan Habib, director of the medical education department, said, “If they are found guilty, we will take action as per the decision of BMDC and the ministry.”
